Interfaces with Basic
Education Researchers trained in PPGEO work in basic education, especially in the public school of municipal and state education. Although the teaching of geography is not present in the research lines of the Program, the seminars, meetings, conferences, in short, the academic activities promoted by the PPGEO, extend to the educational institutions. In the moments when we receive researchers from other institutions, be it to compose the dissertation defense boards or even in study missions, we extend to the academic community in general the invitation to participate in the programming that we draw. These are actions aimed at fostering the academic culture of debate and free movement of ideas, providing a fruitful, horizontal and creative dialogue.
