He was Adjunct Professor C in the Geography teaching and bachelor's programs at the Federal University of Southern and Southeastern Pará (UNIFESSPA) - Marabá Campus (2010-2024). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the Federal University of Pará (2006) and a Master's degree in Territorial Organization and Management from the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGEO) of the Federal University of Pará (2009). He earned a Ph.D. in Human Geography from USP (2017). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Graduate Program in Sustainable Development of the Humid Tropics (PPGDSTU) at the Center for Advanced Amazonian Studies (NAEA) / Federal University of Pará (UFPA). He worked as a basic education teacher between 2008 and 2010 for SEDUC/PA and as Head of the Division of Planning and Institutional Development at the Secretariat of Planning and Institutional Development of Unifesspa (2018 to 2020). He has experience in Agrarian and Urban Geography, working mainly on the following topics: regional development; rural development public policies; peasant agriculture; the urban-rural relationship; and socio-territorial movements. |

Olga Lúcia Castreghini de Freitas ✉️ E-mail: She holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - Presidente Prudente (1984), a Master's degree in Geography from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - Rio Claro (1989), a Ph.D. in Geography (Human Geography) from the University of São Paulo (2001), and completed postdoctoral studies at Université Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne (2007-2008). She is a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Pará; a retired Full Professor of the Department of Geography at the Federal University of Paraná and a senior professor of the Graduate Program in Geography at UFPR. She holds a CNPq Research Productivity Fellowship 1C and is affiliated with the INCT/Observatory of Metropolises. She served as a senior visiting professor/CAPES in the Graduate Program (Master's) in Regional Development at the Federal University of Amapá between June and October 2022, and as a professor in the Graduate Program in Urban Development and Environment (PPDMU) at UNAMA (Belém-PA) between April 2023 and June 2024. She was the representative of the Human and Regional Geography area on CNPq's Advisory Committee for Applied Social Sciences (CA-SA), serving from July 2020 to June 2023, and headed the Committee's Coordination. She has experience in Geography, with an emphasis on Urban-Metropolitan Geography and Industrial Geography. Prof. Dr. Gilberto de Miranda Rocha ✉️ E-mail: He holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the Federal University of Pará (1982), a Master's degree in Geography from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1987), a Ph.D. in Geography (Human Geography) from the University of São Paulo (1999), a research internship in Environmental and Development Economics (Università Degli Studi Roma Tre, Rome, Italy, 2014), and postdoctoral studies in Territorial Planning (Université Paris 13 NORD, Paris, 2015). He was a visiting professor at Université Paris 13 Nord (2010 and 2016) at the Centre d'Études et Recherche sur Action Locale (CERAL). He coordinated the Graduate Program in Natural Resource Management and Local Development in the Amazon (PPGEDAM/NUMA) between 2006 and 2008. He was Director of UFPA's Environmental Center (2006-2009 and 2010-2013). He is a full member of the Historical and Geographical Institute of Pará, holding chair number 22 - Jacques Huber. He is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Pará and a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (PQ 2). He is currently the General Director of UFPA's Environmental Center. She completed her Master's degree in Geography (1992) and Ph.D. in Geography (1999) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She completed postdoctoral studies in Tourism Geography at the MIT Laboratory (Mobilités, Itinéraires, Tourismes) of the Institute of Geography at the University of Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris-France (2006-2007); and another postdoctoral fellowship in the Graduate Program in Tourism at the Federal University of Paraná (2017-2018). LINE 2 - SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL DYNAMICS AND NATURAL RESOURCES IN THE AMAZON
Prof. Dr. Alan Nunes Araújo ✉️ E-mail: Alan Nunes Araújo holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degree in Geography. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Geography and Cartography (FGC) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), where he served as Deputy Director (2021-2023) and Director (2023-2025). He is a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Geography at UFPA, working in Line 2 - Socio-Environmental Dynamics and Natural Resources in the Amazon, and coordinates GMAPA, the Research Group on Environmental Modeling of Amazonian Landscapes, affiliated with CNPq. His research focuses on the use of Geotechnologies and Remote Sensing for environmental analysis and modeling, with an emphasis on land use and cover dynamics, environmental planning, and the management of watersheds and water resources in the Amazon. |
Profa. Dra. Marcia Aparecida Da Silva Pimentel ✉️ E-mail: Geographer. Holds a Bachelor's and Teaching Degree in Geography from the University of São Paulo (1989). Master's degree in Geography (Physical Geography) from the University of São Paulo (1996). Ph.D. in Geography (Physical Geography) from the University of São Paulo (2002). Completed a postdoctoral internship in the Human Geography Program at the University of São Paulo, from August 2013 to January 2014, funded by Procad-Casadinho (UFPA-USP). In 2017-2018, she completed a second postdoctoral internship at the Universidad del Oriente, in Santiago de Cuba (Cuba), participating in the MES-CUBA Program, with financial support from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel-CAPES. She has been a Full Professor at the Federal University of Pará, in the undergraduate Geography program, since 2005. She is part of the Graduate Programs in Geography (PPGeo), Environmental Sciences (PPGCA), and Risk and Disaster Management (PPGGRD - professional). Coordinator of the Landscape Study and Environmental Planning Group - GEPPAM/UFPA. She is a member of the Research Network in (Socio)Environmental Geography/RP-G(S)A. Milena Marilia Nogueira De Andrade ✉️ E-mail: Geologist, Adjunct Professor Class C at the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (UFRA) in Belém/PA, Cyberspace Institute, and lecturer in the Graduate Program in Risk and Disaster Management in the Amazon (Institute of Geosciences/UFPA) and in the Graduate Program in Geography (IFCH/UFPA). She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Geology from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), a Teaching Degree in Mathematics from the University of the State of Pará, and a Ph.D. in Sciences with a concentration in Socio-Environmental Development from the Center for Advanced Amazonian Studies (NAEA/UFPA), having completed a study abroad period at Christian-Albrechts-Universität (Kiel/Germany). She was a faculty member at the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA), where she collaborated in the creation of the Interdisciplinary Bachelor's Program in Earth Sciences and Geology (2011-2015). She has experience in mapping the socio-natural environment for the identification and analysis of risks and vulnerabilities to natural disasters; multi-temporal analysis of land use and cover; and the use of remote sensors and geoprocessing for environmental and urban planning. She is an associate editor of the Bulletin of the Emílio Goeldi Museum of Pará, Natural Sciences.
